Prime Minister greets Australian PM on National Day:
ISLAMABAD, Jan 26: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif felicitated Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia Tony Abbott MP on the occasion of Australian National Day being celebrated on Sunday (January 26). In his message of greetings to the Australian Prime Minister, he said, “On behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan as well as on my own behalf, I am pleased to convey to Your Excellency and the government and people of Australia, our most sincere heartfelt greetings on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Australia.” He said the excellent relations between Pakistan and Australia were underpinned by shared objectives, mutual interests and commonality of vision for future. He said both the countries had similarity of perceptions and understanding on most of the regional and international issues.
